Metal Engraving

Incorporating engraved metal elements into my furniture adds a further level of interest and personalization to my shop-made hardware. When engraving metal, the sense of time is lost, and the most minute detail becomes the sole focus of attention. It is a painstaking and slow process, but great intricacy can be achieved. I hand-engrave in the style of Italian gunsmithing and Japanese sword artistry, sometimes in themes inspired by the New England coast.
