News and Exhibits

In 2019, I was a recipient of a Society of Arts + Crafts Artist Award and was a finalist for the Massachusetts Cultural Council’s Artist Fellowship in Crafts.

I teach classes and workshops at the Furniture Institute of Massachusetts in Beverly, MA, and the Center for Furniture Craftsmanship in Rockport, ME.

I will be exhibiting at the 2020 Annual Smithsonian Craft Show. This is the sixth year my work has been included.

Saturn was included in Made in Massachusetts: Studio Furniture of the Bay State at the Fuller Craft Museum. This show is part of the Four Centuries of Massachusetts Furniture project.

My Crane Chairs were featured on the back cover of Fine Woodworking magazine and in a video on finewoodworking.com.

Through Paul Russell and Company, I engraved the original nickel silver threshold logos as part of the restoration of a 1928 Mercedes-Benz 680S Saoutchik Torpedo. The car has won numerous awards, including Best of Show at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance.

My wood engravings were included in two juried travelling shows—the 75th Annual Exhibition of the Society of Wood Engravers (Oxford, Bath, and London, UK), where Nugent Stretch was awarded the 75th Anniversary Prize, and Wood Engraver’s Network Relief Engraving Exhibition 2012 (Asheville, NC; Minneapolis, MN; New Haven, CT; Seattle, WA; Randolph County, WV).

I was honored to be the recipient of a 2011 Artist Fellowship in Crafts from the Massachusetts Cultural Council.

My Ming Hall Table was featured on the back cover of Fine Woodworking magazine, Issue #206.
